1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the GiveCause Foundation website operated by Give – C, Llc. By using the site, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Purpose of the website
The website shares information about GiveCause Foundation, its intended charitable focus areas, and ways to support its own charitable work. A program description is not a guarantee that a specific activity is currently active or that a particular outcome will occur. Donations here are not automatically donations to third-party campaigns hosted on a separate platform.
3. Donations and payment authorization
Donations are voluntary contributions, not purchases of goods or services. Before submitting a payment, review the amount, currency, selected program, and any dedication details. You authorize the selected payment provider to process the transaction you submit. Payment methods shown may vary by location, device, currency, account eligibility, and provider settings. A payment may be declined or require additional authentication.
4. Program designation and allocation
A program selection communicates your intended focus. Unless the foundation expressly confirms a legally binding restriction in writing, contributions may be applied to the selected focus area or to related charitable purposes, administration, and delivery costs as permitted by law and consistent with the foundation’s responsibilities. If a program cannot reasonably use a designated contribution, the foundation may apply it to a closely related charitable purpose, subject to applicable law and any express written restriction.
5. In honour or memory donations
Donors may provide a dedication or honouree name where the form offers that option. Dedication information is for donation administration and does not imply that a notification will be sent or that the dedication will be made public unless the foundation separately confirms that service.
6. Tax-exempt status and donation receipts
Give – C, LLC (EIN 33-3153641), the legal entity operating GiveCause Foundation, represents that it is recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the organization are intended to be tax-deductible charitable contributions to the extent permitted by applicable law. The deductibility of a particular gift can depend on the donor’s circumstances, the nature of the contribution, and applicable legal requirements. Donors should retain their donation acknowledgement and consult a qualified tax adviser about their individual circumstances. This information is general and is not individualized tax advice.
7. Refunds, reversals, and errors
If you believe a donation was submitted in error, duplicated, or unauthorized, contact foundation@givecause.online promptly with the transaction date, amount, and available reference. We will review requests fairly and in accordance with applicable law, payment-provider rules, and accounting requirements. A request does not guarantee a refund. Card disputes and reversals may be handled through the payment provider.
8. Receipts and communication
Please provide an accurate email address if you want an electronic receipt or transaction-related communication. We may contact you about a donation, receipt, suspected error, or request you have made. Promotional communications, if any, should be handled in accordance with applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use the website unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt its operation, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information, or interfere with other visitors. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the site, users, or the organization.
10. Website content and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, design, and original materials are owned by or used with permission by the relevant rights holder. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from ordinary use of the website, payment-provider outages, or events beyond our reasonable control.
